Early Production Facility (EPF) solutions provided by Solid enables our customers to generate early cash flow while continuing to evaluate reservoir reserves and deliverability to optimize design, procurement and installation of permanent production facilities.

Solid’s EPF service capabilities include the provision, installation and operation of oil and gas EPF designed to meet customer requirements.
EPFs can fast-track evaluation of initial well, reservoir and related surface facilities infrastructure performance; generating income and assisting field evaluation in advance of design, supply and installation of longer-term permanent systems. Furthermore, because of the relatively small financial commitment required, they can be well suited to the exploitation of smaller, marginal or remote reserves which may be economically too risky to run with a more costly permanent production facility.

 Specification and Features: Typical installations include high/low-pressure separation, produced fluids heating, storage and loading/shipping facilities; in addition to complete pipework, process and utility power / support requirements, ESD systems and real time data acquisition; combined with produced fluids analysis equipment in support of real-time monitoring and appraisal of reservoir performance.

Experience: Solid has supplied, installed and operated numerous onshore EPF facilities both in North Africa and Romania. In Tunisia, a Solid-supplied, installed and operated EPF facility in the Waha field handled production of 13,000 BOPD along with associated produced water and gas and custody storage / pipeline transfer facilities.

In Romania, Solid supplied, installed and operated the first EPF in the Totea Deep concession, followed by two additional EPF facilities in the same area. Of particular note was Solid’s excellent track record in achieving zero production downtime and no lost time injuries or environmental damage incidents throughout its operating history at all three Totea facilities, as well as at the Waha field EPF facility referred to above.
